On March 4, 2025, a working workshop was held with representatives of Lions Club Warszawa Host and other Polish Lions Clubs as part of the cooperation with the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. This was an extremely important event, aimed at discussing aid initiatives for Ukraine in the face of ongoing humanitarian and social challenges.

During the meeting with Prof. Paweł Kowal, Chairman of the Council, key issues related to assisting Ukraine were addressed, including the "Unbroken" program, which supports individuals who have lost limbs due to the war, based on the Lions Charity Run project. Discussions also covered the Education of Leaders of Modern Ukraine, an initiative focused on training future leaders, based on the concept of the Academy of Sustainable Development, implemented by Lions Club Warszawa Host and the Instytut Myśli Europejskiej Another significant topic was a report on the aid activities of Polish NGOs, summarizing the involvement of non-governmental organizations, including Lions clubs in Poland. Additionally, PR activities and humanitarian cooperation were discussed, including the potential establishment of a humanitarian task force and the development of a communication strategy.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Lions Club International, District 121 Poland, including Pas District Governors Mariusz Szeib and Zdzislaw Ryszkowski, Presidents of LC Warsaw Centrum Mieczysław Szczepański and LC Szczecin Jantar Krystyna Araszkiewicz , as well as the Chairman of the Council of the Institute of European Thought Foundation, Max Bojarski and the II Vice Governor of District 121 Poland, Michal Wigurski. The atmosphere was filled with commitment and mutual understanding. Participants unanimously emphasized that helping Ukraine remains a key challenge, requiring continuous support and cooperation at various levels.

This is an important initiative, that not only provides real assistance but also helps build bridges of cooperation between Poland and Ukraine in the face of a difficult military and economic situation.

The circumstances are challenging, but the Lions Clubs International will always be there to help.
